Obscure 606

This is an 11 WAV analog sound pack sampled from a Roland 606. The 606 is known for an awesome hi-hat sound, which pairs nicely with 808/909 patterns.

I briefly owned a 606, sampled it, and A/B-ed the samples with the machine itself. Once the levels were matched I couldn't tell the difference between the two. Also worth noting is I took multiple samples of the same drum, stacked one under another and phase reversed the second sound. The result was no sound being played back which meant that even though yes the machine is analog, the variance between sequential hits was none. Perhaps over a period of an hour, this would change, but in the short term, there's no difference.

A real 606 typically costs around $400+ on the used market and will often need work. Get these sounds for 1/400th of the price.
